A special outing

Pasir Ris Park is definitely a place for the young and young at heart to spend a fun day out enjoying the becalming sea breeze under the warm and smooth sunshine.Being one of Singapore's most treasured urban getaways, it has amenities for sports and other recreational purposes.
Being urged by my friends countless of times to go for the class gathering held by them, I finally relented and went ahead with them.We took a taxi down to East Coast Park and started preparing the barbeque. We really felt kind of extorted when we got everything ready. We thought everything was going well and planned until we wanted to start the fire. It was the fact that the sea breeze spoilt the whole show. Everytime we lit up a fire, the fire would be extinguished by that huge wind. No matter how hard we fought, we still could not win the wind and prevail. We decided to ask the people from the next pit for help. Unfortunately, they were all a bunch of juvenile delinquents we had to face. judging their appearance and height, they did not appear to be any older than us. But it was ironical that numerous cigarette packs found on the table! Nevertheless, we were out of our means and desperately needed help.So we bit the humble pie and asked.
It did not take them long to keep the fire starting( probably because they are good at lighting cigarettes too :P )So we took turns and cooked till the food were finished.

picture snapped when i was cooking..

Yummy!

after everything was finished, the whole bunch of us felt a little bored just by eating and chatting all the time.So we decided to come up to mischief! we found a
snapped kite string and tied up the wire gauze from the barbeque, with burnt sausages we cooked as baits and threw it down the canal, hoping to get some catches.when we pulled it up slowly, we were so belated and over the moon when we saw two crabs and fish inside! we were all laughing joyfully then.

Mission accomplshed!

But that was not yet, my friend prompted us to cook our catch. We were actually caught in a dilemma and did not know what to do. But the playful attitude prevails the sense of compassion and we decided to give it a go

the cooked crab with a random potato

crab fighting for its last breath....

It was a fun and jubilant gathering, everyone brought joy and laughter to one another( including the crabs). I really hope we can have more of such gatherings and unite together
